Today starts my first day of twice weekly "non-stress tests" and then Friday I will start my weekly ultrasounds. Basically the non stress tests will measure Jude's heartbeat and how he reacts if I should have contractions (Thanks Holly for the explanation!!!). The ultrasounds will measure his weight as I progress farther and farther along to give the doctors an idea of what to expect the BIG DAY!
I'm feeling great all in all. The gestational diabetes is still there of course and we're still regulating with blood sugar tests (6 pokes to the finger each day), diet, and insulin shots (up to 3 times a day). SO of course that's an incentive for the BIG DAY to come as well!!! But Mike and I can't wait until our little man is here, we are sooo excited and can't wait until he's here and introduce him to the world!

You look great, the nursery looks great and I can understand the excitement! Please remember...your first is so special! enjoy the time you are allowed to sit on the couch, stay in your pajamas, hold your baby and just do NOTHING! I wish someone would have given me this advice. I didnt realize it until I had my 2nd and wasnt able to do that and wanted to so bad! Bask in the enjoyment of him being your everything and you dont have to share yourself with another toddler! This is such an exciting time, dont put too much pressure on yourself to do everything perfect. Just figure eachother out one day at a time and trust your motherly instincts! they are real! Everyone will give you their advice (some good, some not so good!) that it will confuse you. Just do what YOU and your husband believe!
I cannot believe you only have 6 weeks left! WOW! You look STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! All belly!!!!! The nursery looks AMAZING! I'm sorry you are still having to do so much with the diabetes but know it will all be over soon! I cannot wait to see what he looks like and am SO beyond excited for you and Mike! You two are fabulous parents already!!!! Keep the blog updated until you go in so I can stay in the loop! ENJOY these next 6 weeks and all of Jude's crazy little movements in that belly of yours. Soon you will have to share him with the world! Can't wait to meet you little man!
You're adorable and I love the room!!!!
