Last week I got my sugar test back and it came back elevated (this was my second test), so unfortunatly my doctor ruled that I have Gestional Diabetes. I was SUPER bummed about it last week, but after talking to my mom and my cousin Nicole I felt a lot better! Today I went to the doctor who specilizes in diabetes and he gave me instructions on pricking my finger to test my blood sugar and then Thursday I'll go to the dietician to make sure I'm eating the correct foods so that Jude and myself get the right amount of heathly sugars. My doctor let me know that the good thing about is, once I give birth it will be gone and I can go back to the way things were before. Which is also comforting. Before the sugar tests I had a strong feeling that I would get it, I guess because I have a long line of diabetics in my family and I figured it was bound to happen. For some reason it didn't make the news easier when they did tell me! :)
But I know that since I'll be following the diet and testing my blood sugars everyday, things will work out good for both Jude and myself. I really cannot WAIT until he gets here!!! I'm ready to see my sweet little baby boy!

I'm sorry buddy, but that all sounds like it will work out just dandy...and the finger pricking will be over in no time! Love you!
You look great at 30 weeks! Sucks about the diabetes but at least you'll eat healthy...right? Baby room looks really cute! Lets get together sometime!
First, you look stunning! Just glowing! Second, I know a lot of mommies who have had gestational diabetes and all worked out perfectly! I know it's worrisome to have anything "abnormal" occur but you'll be great and Jude is already blessed with the best mommy (and daddy)! Enjoy these last ten weeks! You thought it went by fast before, watch out! All of a sudden he'll be in your arms! Love and miss you!
Hi friend! You look amazing, and like we have already discussed, Jude is already blessed with you as his mom and that you are doing everything in your power to stay healthy. You rock and I know in all tribulations you always prevail with your head up. I love you dear friend and I am out of my body excited to see you and rub that belly in person.
